If I understand correctly the rabbit in the moon was first known in India, and has afterwards spread trough out the rest of Asia, though it has become most popular in China(玉兔 ) and Japan(月兔 ).
In Chinese tales the rabbit is pounding elixir of life for the moon goddess Chang'e, the rabbit is also known as jade rabbit(玉兔 ) in China. and in Japanese tales it is sayd that the rabbit is making moshi, a japanese rice cake. In order to support the artists that we feature, we ask that you  the news article as well as check out the individual pieces. We understand that each day you may not be able to check out each and every one of the pieces, everyone has their own things going on.
